Is this a typical yoga class?

Yoga therapy is a combination of traditional yoga movements and practices and research based therapy methods. Workshops are broken into two parts - discussion and meditative moments and integrated physical yoga movements.

What if I am not experienced?

Yoga workshops are catered to all ability and experience levels. This can be your first exposure with yoga or you could have a consistent practice. Wherever you are, I will meet you there. Yoga therapy can also address the physical symptoms of sports injuries or chronic pain, limited mobility and conditions of unknown origins such as Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. So if you are struggling with pain, instruction and techniques will be modified and individualized for you.

What Is yoga therapy?

Yoga therapy goes beyond the standard practice of yoga and uses yoga as a tool to increase awareness of your body, mind, emotions, and spirit to manage, reduce, or eliminate symptoms of physical and psychological conditions. Yoga therapy develops an intentional way of life by connecting the body to the mind.

Is yoga therapy right for you?

Yoga therapy can help you address both the emotional and physical symptoms associated with trauma, anxiety, depression and addiction; guiding you to recognize and understand the origins of such symptoms and develop a means to regain control over your own healing so you can live safely and freely for the first time or once again.
